In our magnesium chloride factory, hexahydrate magnesium chloride is available in three common forms:flakes, powder and granules. Why do most customers prefer magnesium chloride flakes?
Considering the long-distance and long-time transportation from our factory to customers, Yuze Chemical adopts special production processes for magnesium chloride flakes. Compared with other magnesium chloride flakes of the same quality(chemical synthesis process), our products can delay caking for 6 months to 1 year under the same storage and transportation conditions.
Magnesium chloride flakes feature good fluidity without the flying dust caused by powder products. They are suitable for both manual spreading and mechanical feeding, effectively reducing product loss and improving the on-site operation environment.
Affordable price: Manufactured via mature processes including brine evaporation, concentration, crystallization and tabletting, magnesium chloride flakes are much cheaper than granular and block products. Their price is close to powder products, yet with far lower usage loss.
Low transportation and storage costs: With a moderate bulk density, the flakes are packaged in versatile specifications including 25kg, 50kg, 500kg and ton bags. They are not easy to damage or absorb moisture during transportation, and occupy reasonable storage space.
Our industrial-grade hexahydrate magnesium chloride flakes have a stable magnesium chloride content of 46%–48%, with hexahydrate content reaching ≥98%. Impurities such as water-insoluble substances and sulfates are strictly controlled, and all quality indicators can be verified through official test reports.

VS Powder: Magnesium chloride powder causes severe dust, high product loss and easy caking; by contrast, flakes are low-dust, stable and low-loss.
VS Granules: Granular magnesium chloride is costly and mainly used for high-end building materials. Magnesium chloride flakes deliver higher cost performance and fully meet the needs of most general application scenarios.
It is worth noting that magnesium chloride powder and granules are all reprocessed products made by crushing and sieving magnesium chloride flakes. The additional secondary processing procedures greatly increase production costs. Therefore, magnesium chloride flakes have prominent advantages among hexahydrate magnesium chloride products of the same quality.
For hexahydrate magnesium chloride, magnesium chloride flakes are the preferred option, featuring easy application, stable quality, cost savings and wide versatility. Other forms are only recommended for special demands, such as faster dissolution speed or higher fluidity requirements.
