this product is industrial grade magnesium chloride hexahydrate. at our yuze magnesium chloride factory, we produce magnesium chloride hexahydrate via two production processes. one is made from brine, known as brine flakes or brine granules (granules reshaped and processed from brine flakes at the magnesium chloride factory). the other is produced by chemical synthesis. it comes in two physical forms: magnesium chloride flakes and magnesium chloride granules. widely applied in mines, construction sites, infrastructure road projects.

A:functions

1.dust control this is the common application of industrial magnesium chloride for roads. spray the solution made of magnesium chloride flakes (brine flakes) or magnesium chloride granules on construction dirt roads, mine haul roads and unpaved sections.

· mgcl₂·6h₂o has strong hygroscopicity and deliquescence. it continuously absorbs moisture from air to keep surface soil particles moist and bonded together, forming a thin crust.

· its performance lasts much longer than simple water spraying; one treatment usually works for weeks.

· it also reduces freezing point, so it provides anti-freezing and dust suppression in winter.

2.snow melting, de-icing and salt-storage pavement

· magnesium chloride is a common component of deicers, used on bridges, parking lots and other sections prone to snow accumulation in winter.

· an advanced application: salt additives (magnesium chloride flakes, magnesium chloride granules) are made into slow-release fillers and mixed into asphalt mixtures to produce salt-storage asphalt pavement. salt precipitates slowly in rainy and snowy weather for active de-icing, a special use of magnesium chloride in pavement materials.

3.subgrade and soil stabilization add a small amount of magnesium chloride into lime stabilized soil, cement stabilized soil or soil stabilizer systems for building foundations and road construction:

· retain moisture and reduce drying shrinkage cracks during curing;

· early strength effect: mg²⁺ participates in reactions to accelerate early strength development;

· magnesium chloride acts as an activating component in some stabilizer formulations.

4.concrete admixture and winter construction

· used as one component of early strength agents and antifreeze agents to help concrete poured in low-temperature conditions reach anti-freezing critical strength quickly.

· in magnesium oxychloride cement (sorel cement) systems, magnesium chloride is the core raw material. the reaction between mgo and magnesium chloride solution generates 5mg(oh)₂·mgcl₂·8h₂o (phase 5) and 3mg(oh)₂·mgcl₂·8h₂o (phase3) as cementing phases. it features fast setting and high strength, widely used for rapid road repair, manhole covers and inspection well surroundings requiring quick traffic opening.

risk note: chloride ions in industrial magnesium chloride hexahydrate may corrode steel reinforcement if over-dosed. dosage must be strictly controlled, and arbitrary addition is prohibited.

5.model selection guide

· magnesium chloride flakes: flaky crystals with fast dissolution rate. dissolve in water to prepare magnesium chloride solution. ideal for large-area spraying for dust suppression and underground coal seam fire inhibition. stable packaging, low caking tendency, suitable for liquid preparation in large storage tanks. it is the mainstream option for road and mine dust control.

· magnesium chloride granules: regular spherical granules with good fluidity and low dusting. can be applied directly by dry spreading without pre-dissolution. suitable for partial supplementary spreading on short roads and winter pavement anti-freezing. feeds smoothly into spreading equipment without pipe blockage, ideal for mechanical spreader operation.

selection suggestion: choose magnesium chloride flakes for large-scale road spraying and underground fire inhibition. choose magnesium chloride granules for mechanical dry spreading and sporadic site maintenance.
